The West Suburban YMCA is hiring for Residential Summer Camp Interns to join our team! this upcoming summer season. Internship Job Title: Residential Summer Camp Internships   Supervisor: Camp Director Revision Date: January 2025  Start Date: June 2025 End Date: August 2025 Total Hours: 750 hours, Flexible Typical Schedule: 5 Days a week during the Summer between June 16th and August 15th POSITION SUMMARY:  Camp Frank A. Day, our residential summer camp located in East Brookfield, MA, has opportunities for the following areas for internships for the Summer of 2025: Creative Arts Marketing & Social Media Music Sports & Recreation STEM Tasks and projects include: Help assist our lead counselors in respective areas with programs, learn how to build engaging curriculums related to your field Learn to build culturally relevant curriculum for your respective area of expertise Get CPR and First Aid Certified Organization and taking inventory different relevant camp equipment Other relevant tasks as assigned by supervisor Live at camp and gain a true residential camp experience! SKILLS ACQUIRED:  We hope to build valuable skillsets during your time at the West Suburban YMCA, which will help build your work experience and resume. These skills include, but are not limited to: Teamwork, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, adaptability, communication skills, time management (planning/prioritizing), software/systems education, project management and building your network. Ability to apply in practice the knowledge and skills acquired in the academic setting into youth programming Previously experience in your respective expertise. Declared major/minor within the area of expertise, physical education or related field of study or other related degree, with an approved educational institution. Basic working knowledge of computer and a willingness to learn new technology. Commitment to consistent, agreed upon schedule. Team player. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
